Sally Hudson is the Director of Not-for-Profit Services at Councilor with more than a decade of experience helping tax-exempt organizations understand best practices and the importance of integrity in internal control procedures. As a Certified Information Systems Auditor, she guides not-for-profit entities toward effective financial reporting.
Sally joined Councilor in 2022 with a qualification not every auditor has: specialized government auditing experience. She previously served as an auditor with the Office of the Inspector General of a Department of Defense agency, where she conducted independent audits and reviews, developed audit programs, performed risk assessments, and evaluated internal controls.
Sally also evaluates the internal controls and information technology systems service organizations use to safeguard client financial transactions. Through SSAE 18 SOC 1 examinations and reporting, she helps organizations better understand and strengthen their systems, controls, and processes.
Sally has particular experience working with not-for-profit organizations that receive federal funding, helping ensure their reporting complies with 2 CFR Part 200, Subpart F (Uniform Guidance), and other agency requirements.
