Dan joined Councilor in 1999, building a career defined by technical expertise, leadership, and a strong commitment to client service. Over the years, he has advised leadership teams across nonprofit organizations, construction companies, and closely held businesses, helping them enhance financial transparency and strengthen governance practices.
A recognized leader in audit services, Dan directs complex engagements that ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards while helping organizations adapt to evolving accounting requirements. His work has helped clients navigate regulatory changes with minimal disruption while improving long-term financial reporting processes.
In addition to leading client engagements, Dan has played an important role in shaping Councilor’s service capabilities. Most recently, he led the firm’s expansion of System and Organization Controls (SOC 1 and SOC 2) audit services, helping Councilor meet growing demand for assurance related to data security and operational controls.
