Dominick Bellia is Executive Vice President and Director of Accounting & Financial Advisory Services. He brings more than 20 years of experience advising organizations in the not-for-profit and professional service sectors, focusing on forward-looking and scalable solutions that guide decisions. Dominick takes an advisory-first approach, helping organizations graduate from compliance-focused accounting to a more structured, efficient and proactive environment. He focuses on strengthening financial operations, improving reporting, and giving leadership and boards the information they find valuable.
Since joining Councilor in 2013, Dominick has led the Accounting & Financial Advisory Services practice, shaping its strategy, service model, and delivery. In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant, he is also a Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP), a designation sponsored by the AICPA. This dual expertise allows him to help clients leverage technology to improve efficiency and reduce operational strain.
Prior to joining Councilor, Dominick anticipated and guided his previous firm’s transition from paper-based workflows to cloud-based systems, at a time when few firms had begun making that shift. That initiative reflects an early understanding of how technology reshapes accounting, something he continues to apply in modernizing processes and implementing more efficient, integrated solutions.
Beyond his technical expertise, Dominick is known for a collaborative style as a strategic thinker within the accounting profession. He partners with leadership teams to bring structure, clarity and insights to their financial operations.
