Jordan Egert is a Partner and Director of Forensic and Litigation Services at Councilor, bringing more than 15 years of experience in the accounting profession. His primary areas of concentration include forensic accounting, divorce litigation, and tax advisory and planning. He is known for combining analytical precision with an empathetic approach that helps protect clients’ peace of mind while delivering strong outcomes.
Jordan joined Councilor in 2012 and is committed to ensuring clients understand every step of the divorce and litigation process. He believes client relationships should extend beyond numbers and conclusions, focusing instead on building trust and helping clients achieve their financial goals.
His expertise includes strategic cash flow planning, asset tracking and projections, lifestyle budgeting, tax and retirement projections, and asset division analysis. He has also worked extensively on cancellation of debt tax matters related to real estate assets.
As a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, and Certified Fraud Examiner, Jordan regularly appears before courts in Maryland and the District of Columbia as a qualified expert witness. He also shares his expertise through speaking engagements and serves as treasurer of the Collaborative Professionals of Northern Virginia.
